Our Story

When our two oldest children were diagnosed with celiac disease at age 3 and 5, our world felt like it had been turned upside down. Suddenly every meal, every grocery trip, and every vacation felt like a massive navigational puzzle. Especially considering at this young age all they wanted to eat was pasta, chicken nuggets and Goldfish crackers!

Fast forward and our celiac children Penny and Jojo are now 12 and 10 and we have a non-celiac 4 year old in the mix, Freya. GF Mom was born out of a desire to share our tips and tricks and travel notes to make the journey easier for other families.

We believe that living gluten-free doesn't mean you have to sacrifice the simple joys of a beautiful meal or the thrill of traveling to a new city. Through trial and error, endless research and lots of label reading, I've curated a space to share our favorite travel destinations, trustworthy and delicious products and kid-friendly recipes that the whole family will love—whether they are gluten-free or not.
